New Students
Welcome to Mackenzie Community School (MCS). We are so glad that you decided to attend our school.
We are known in the community for our choice of extracurricular and academic programs, and the communal support of parents and friends who regularly attend our tournaments and events.
If you are new to our school, you will find MCS a welcoming place in which to learn and get involved. To make your transition easier, you will be assigned a guidance counsellor who will give you a tour of the school. Our staff members are also here to answer any questions you may have.
For our students making the transition from Grade 8 to Grade 9, the Link Crew program pairs up a Grade 9 student with a senior student as part of his/her orientation. Grade 9 students can ask their senior student Link Crew partner questions about academics, location of classrooms, spirit week activities and how to get involved at MCS.
New students should also visit admission/registration to learn about our admission procedure and the documentation that you are required to bring.
Before classes begin, become familiar with our school day schedule and bell times, school policies and procedures, and the main office.
Please visit the Our School section of our website to learn more about our staff, transportation information and recent news.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask for help. We are always here to assist you and offer our support.
