Parent Involvement Committee (PIC)

The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) is very proud of its active Parent Involvement Committee (PIC).

  In accordance with the Ministry of Education, the PIC: 

• Empowers and supports parent involvement and engagement in our schools;
• Represents a parent voice in ministry and RCDSB consultations;
• Seeks parent input on ministry and RCDSB consultations;
• Increases, facilitates and supports communication between parents and the RCDSB;
• Provides opportunities for parents to develop useful skills to support their student;
• Provides and supports professional development opportunities for school councils; and
• Acts as a resource for parents and school councils on parent engagement and involvement.
