Ignite Your Future: The MCS Robotics Club

The Mackenzie Community School Robotics Club, sponsored by community donations and corporate sponsorship, is more than just a place to build machines—it is an innovation lab where students bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world engineering. As one of our most dynamic extracurricular, the club challenges students to solve complex problems through the lens of cutting-edge technology.

What We Do

Members work in collaborative teams to design, build, and program sophisticated robots for regional and national competitions. Our program offers a deep dive into several professional disciplines:

  • Mechanical Engineering: Designing chassis and intake systems using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and precision hardware.
  • Software Development: Writing clean, efficient code in languages like Java to give our robots autonomy and intelligence.
  • Electrical Systems: Mastering sensor integration, motor controllers, and complex wiring.
  • Strategic Branding: Managing team logistics, fundraising, and community outreach—operating the club like a start up Tech Company.
