Friday June 7th, PA Day Agenda

During this professional activity day, educators will be working on the very important task of completing report card comments. The RCDSB values the opportunity that the report card presents to us to communicate important information about how each student is progressing at school. We encourage our families to reach out to us at any time with any questions about assessment and evaluation or for any other matters that help us to work together in partnership.

The presentation content is as follows: "Children and youth are more anxious, aggressive, and shut down than ever. We were seeing this epidemic of emotional health crises and behavioral problems before COVID 19 and are now watching as these behaviours only intensify following this turbulent time. Teachers are asking themselves what we can do to support our students and create shifts in our classrooms and schools. Based on the book Reclaiming Our Students: Why Children Are More Anxious, Aggressive, and Shut-Down than Ever—and What We Can Do About It – this workshop will support educators with relationship building.
